They are a brutal group commonly known for public executions. The group has posed a significant threat to the United States of America. This video talks about the creation of the terror group in depth. This article talks of how ISIS came to be. The main purpose of it is to give the public an insight of what is going on. The group is the new face of war on terror (Ben Swan). First and foremost it is made clear that the war in Iraq was previously declared over. However, it is estimated that the ongoing war in Iraq with the terror group could last a decade. This is stated by the former secretary of defense of the US, Leon Panetta. The document indicates that ISIS is a creation of the United Sates. Iraq was a functioning country despite the contrary expose of the media. However, the war in the country was brought about by the intrusion of the US (Angela Keaton 2014). The US went into the country and blew it apart. They did so by destroying the government of Iraq, ousting Saddam Hussein and further destroying the infrastructure of the nation. However, the document clearly suggests that the most pertinent thing that led to the ISIS was the creation of a power vacuum by the US military. This vacuum is argued to not have been possible if Saddam Hussein had not been overthrown.It is significant to recognize that this theory is still not conclusive. This is because, even with the ousting of Saddam, the country could still be functional. ISIS started in 2006 as a small group. It lacked funds and firepower and were unable to recruit. However, despite all this they managed to cause chaos for the US. The group further moved to Syria in 2009 due to lack of success in Iraq. In June 2013, a northern general spoke out and stated that international nations need to arm the group. This he justified by saying they would be helping the opposition in ending the Syrian civil war. "It would be unfair to the rebels or rather freedom fighters if we do not fund and train them.
